SNL Character Wrapup
I hope you all enjoyed following along this week as much as we
enjoyed bringing these characters to life. In some ways, this was a
really tough prompt, but I think everyone managed to bring their A game
this week.
Nine sketches (thanks to a double bonus from Ken whose initial
trepidation hid a torrent of creativity) and not a single Hans und
Franz amongst them. Thank god.
- DNW led off with a bit of surreal time travel. Belushi and Radner commenting on the abomination that is MacGruber…
- Ken completely blew me away with his very funny “Samurai IT Guy”…
- Ken’s bonus #1 gives us Emily Litella on Bernie Madoff…
- Continuing his economics lessons, Ken followed up with Roseanne Roseannadanna on the economy…
- RA invited a very special guest onto Stuart Smalley’s show…
- Dave gave us five characters from two different decades in a speed dating bonanza (but I pity Kevin Nealon his super rapid costume change)…
- EL nailed Walken’s Continental (although I suspect he’d rather nail her)…
- Michael brought back Frankie and Willie! Times are tough all over, though. Ooh, I hate that…
- Finally, Peter brought back my FAVORITE inanimate object of all time, the Happy Fun Ball!
And please be sure to vote for your favorite sketches here.
