I, um, don't know what to say. Granted, Morrissey is our greatest living singer-songwriter, but who knew he had so much to say about the philosophy of language.
No one gives a rat's ass what you have to say. Blogs are just so much verbal masturbation, better to be wiped up sheepishly with a kleenex than posted for the world to see.

Just have to disagree that "Morrissey is our greatest living singer-songwriter". I think with Johnny Marr to balance Morrissey out, the Smiths were very good. Without him, Morrissey is just one miserable man who whines too much. It amazes me that he still gets paid to complain.

Duck! I believe there will be a salvo fired in your direction shortly. :)
Alright, if not Morrissey, then who? Cockburn? Hay?? I mean, I like them both (in fact, more than I like Morrissey's solo stuff), and have argued in their favor before to be contrary, but they have no audience. If Jeff Buckley hadn't tried the steel-toed butterfly, he'd probably hold the title belt, but I can't think who else is even a contender.
