New Puppy!
Here's the new little guy, Parker's new baby brother. He's still got no name, unfortunately. There are a few options, sticking with our preference of naming for authors. So, pipe up in comments and vote for your favorite name to match up with (Dorothy) Parker:
- Benchley
- Gaiman
- Whedon
- Wodehouse

Benchley. Definitely.
Wodehouse, Wodehouse!
Hmm. I've got one definite vote for Dorothy's drinking buddy, and a double-vote for P.G. Tabulating these is going to be tough. :)
Benchley... seems only fitting.
Awwww! How cute!!!!
Whedon would be my vote... :)
Looks like Dorothy's drinking buddy is in the lead here, but we're just starting to get the first of the nerd votes for Whedon. I suspect the nerd vote will split 50-50 for Whedon and Gaiman, though.
Then it just comes down to darkhorse Wodehouse and front-runner Benchley!
I've gotten two emailed votes: one for Wodehouse, pulling him neck and neck with Benchley; and one write-in vote for Corinthian. Interestingly, that geek vote looked sewed up for Gaiman, so Whedon looks ready to carry the nerd and geek contingent.
Another 36 hours before the polls close!
Cute!!
Benchly. Heh heh...
Except I spelled it wrong.
I suspect the original would have laughed over the lost vowel over drinks with you.
There are now some rumors of a brokered naming convention. Looks like "Harlan" and "Ellison" are both handing out cigars and going into smoky rooms to discuss superdelegates.
Closed yet?
I vote for Benchley, "Park & Bench" is just too cute to pass up.
"Gai & Park" would be troubling.
Whedon could be easily twisted to "Wheedle" which could be fun, as in "Park & Wheedle"
It's not closed yet. Benchley is the definite front-runner right now.
I'm just worried about that brokered convention...what with subverting the will of the people and all.
Wodehouse! All the way.
As much as I like Gaiman & Whedon, they aren't great names.
I often get my choices down to two and then see which the animal responds to. I find that can help get a better sense of what will work for the animal. So you could always see if he responds better to Benchley or Wodehouse.
He is adorable no matter what the name!
